Masdevallia Urubamba Blooming Size
This is Masd. Urubamba, and it’s just beautiful. The breeding is Masd. ayabacana 'Brown Tapestry' x Masd. veitchiana 'Sol' HCC/AOS.
These come out an intense, orange red color, covered with tiny blue hairs. These are from a seed cross, and we might expect to see some awards
from this batch. Past award winners have had a natural spread of 7 to 9 cm. These are blooming size, actively growing in 2 inch pots. We always ship the largest.
They seem to be blooming fools, so we're pretty sure these will flower within 12 months.
Masdevallias are fast-growing, compact plants that are perfect for windowsill
growers and those with limited space. And the great thing is that they produce blooms several times a year. Mature plants can have literally dozens of flowers. We have a number of these and we will pick out a nice one for you.
Keep these cool and moist and grow in bright indirect light. Use a humidity tray if your home is exceptionally dry.
Good air movement helps. If it seems a little warm, put an ice cube on the media once a day.
